Welcome to Eight Docs

Why does my bundle say it is 'out-of-stock'?

Bundle Product is Unavailable

One reason your bundle is appearing as out of stock is because the bundle product in the Products area of your online store could be set to 'unavailable' within your Online Store.

Making the bundle product 'unavailable' means Bundle Builder won't allow the sale to go ahead, so please ensure that the bundle product is set to available for sale.

Single SKU bundles can have more than one associated product (to circumvent 100 variants per product limitation in Shopify), so make sure that all the products are available in Online Store.

Installation Incomplete or Unsuccessful

If you're using Multiple SKU bundles, you need to make sure that Multiple SKU bundle support has been installed on your theme. Installations are performed per-theme-basis, meaning that you will need the Multiple SKU Installation again if you have switched themes.

Incompatibility with Other Apps

Certain apps are not compatible with Bundle Builder and can cause issues, including out of stock errors. This can be any app that offers help with:

  • Placing orders in advance such as delivery date pickers
  • Recurring orders and subscriptions
  • Creating combos and offering up-sell options
  • Creating customized products.

Bold and Revy apps are also known to use Shopify's Draft Order functionality for many of their apps' basic functionality, so these might make a good starting point for further checks.

Cart Drawer or AJAX Cart

By default, Bundle Builder does not integrate with the theme cart drawer. It is primarily designed to work only with the cart page - however you can integrate the cart with your theme with the help of a developer.

Fulfillment Not Allowed from Default Location

Bundle Builder uses your default location for its dummy products. Please ensure that your store allows online orders to be fulfilled from this location (or change the default location to one that allows orders to be fulfilled).

Paypal, Google Pay or Amazon Pay Enabled on Cart page

These options should only be used on the checkout page. If they are used before finalizing the bundle at checkout, this may affect the order readout, create error messages, or display inconsistently incorrect results.

These buttons should only be used on the checkout page. Hiding the buttons from the cart page - by using CSS - is an effective workaround to prevent customers using them. Theme developers might be able to provide help with this.

If the issue persists after working through the checklist above, please contact our support team by referencing the Bundle URL for the affected bundles, and we'll be happy to conduct a thorough investigation.
